First time I visited this town as a part of a day trip from Brașov to Rupea Citadel, Viscri and Sighișoara. During that trip I fell in love with this beautiful small town and decided to come back and spend couple of nights in its ancient walled city.
Sighișoara, a city on the Târnava Mare river, located in the historic region of Transylvania, is popular for its well-preserved walled old town. The town was founded during the 12th century by German craftsmen and merchants known as the Transylvanian Saxons. The old Historic Center of Sighișoara (Sighișoara Citadel), was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 for its 850-year-old testament to the history and culture of the Transylvanian Saxons.
Pictures below are from my few days stay in Sighișoara.

With its 64 meters of height, the tower is visible from almost every corner of the city. The town is incredibly beautiful, with well-preserved medieval stone streets, pastel color houses, and a pedestrian-friendly old town, it is so easy to fall in love with Sighisoara. Enjoy few more pictures below of this colorful town.
