Belize, a country located on the northeastern coast of Central America, is bordered on the northwest by Mexico, on the east by the Caribbean Sea, and on the south and west by Guatemala. Known as British Honduras until 1973, gaining its independence in 1981, Belize was the United Kingdom‘s last colony on the American mainland and still maintains strong ties with Britain. Belize is the only country in the Central America with English as its official language.
Brazil (Brasil), the largest country in the South America, bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Brazil has a coastline of 7,491 kilometers (4,655 mi). It borders all other countries and territories in South America except Ecuador and Chile, covering 47.3% of the continent’s land area. It is also one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations, due to over a century of mass immigration from around the world.
The Cayman Islands are a self-governing British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea. The territory comprises three islands — Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
Known as a Tax Heaven, the main work on this Caribbean island is not fishing or tourism, but financial services. Just one building on Cayman – Ugland House – has about 20,000 companies registered there, and 100,000 companies in Cayman as a whole. In total, Cayman is home to nearly twice as many companies as people, most of them are just on paper.
Honduras, set between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, and bordered by Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua, is the second biggest and second most populous country in Central America. Settled as a colony of Spain in the early 16th century, Honduras gained its independence in 1821.
