Belgium is a country in Western Europe, bordered by the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, and France. Belgium is world-famous for its chocolate, waffles, and beer. It is known for medieval towns, Renaissance architecture, and as headquarters of the European Union and NATO.

The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean nation that occupies the eastern two-thirds of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola; Haiti occupies the western third of the island. The Dominican Republic is known for its beaches, resorts and golfing. The Dominican Republic is the second-largest nation in the Caribbean by area (after Cuba), and third-largest by population.

Finland is a Nordic country located in Northern Europe. From the late 13th century, Finland gradually became an integral part of Sweden. In 1809, Finland was annexed by the Russian Empire as the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland. In 1906, Finland became the first European state to grant all adult citizens the right to vote, and the first in the world to give all adult citizens the right to run for public office. Finland ranked first on the World Happiness Report report for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Ireland is the second-largest island of the British Isles. Geopolitically, the Island of Ireland is divided between the Republic of Ireland, which covers five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. Around the world Ireland is well-known for Saint Patrick’s Day, Irish pubs serving a good old pint of Guinness and Irish Music and Step Dancing—Riverdance.

Norway (the “northern way”), officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe whose mainland territory comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula, about 50,000 islands and the Antarctic territories.

The United Kingdom (UK) is an island country located off the northwestern coast of mainland Europe. The United Kingdom comprises the whole of the island of Great Britain—which contains England, Wales, and Scotland—as well as the northern portion of the island of Ireland.
The British Empire which, at its height in the 1920s, encompassed almost a quarter of the world’s landmass and a third of the world’s population, and was the largest empire in history. British influence can be observed in the language, culture and the legal and political systems of many of its former colonies.
