I visited Cape Point and Boulder Beach for a day trip from Cape Town during my 21 days traveling through South Africa, Lesotho and eSwatini (formerly Swaziland).
Cape Point is a promontory at the southeast corner of the Cape Peninsula, which is a mountainous and scenic land-form at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent in the Republic of South Africa. Cape Point falls within the southern section of Table Mountain National park, referred to as Cape of Good Hope.
Table Mountain National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004, contains three well-known landmarks: the Table Mountain, for which the park is named; the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern extremity of Africa and the Boulders Beach, home to thousands of African Penguins.
On the way to the Cape Point, we had lunch around the beautiful Boulders Beach, one of Cape Town’s most visited beaches and the only place in the world where you get close to African Penguins.

Cape Point may not be the southernmost point of Africa, though with rugged rocks and sheer cliffs towering more than 200 meters above the sea and cutting deep into the ocean, it certainly makes you feel as if you are standing at the edge of the World. Cape Point is the windiest place in South Africa and experiences only 2% of all hours in the year with calm conditions.

After spending a full day at the Cape of Good Hope, we drove back to Cape Town,
