Today is the day to say Good-Bye to the unforgettable Wakhan Valley, Few travelers at the hostel in Langar offered a paid ride to cross over the Pamir mountains and drop me at Bulunkul on the Pamir Highway. From there, I took another paid hitch-hike back to Khorog, completed the full circle.
Photos below are of amazing landscape between Langar and Bulunkul. The most challenging road so far on this trip. There are no villages on the way.
The road connecting Wakhan Valley to the Pamir Highway is the most challenging road. The road was not maintained at all as there are no villages on this road and it is not much used for a commercial purpose.A breathtaking landscape on the most challenging road, connecting Wakhan Valley to the Pamir Highway.A breathtaking landscape on the most challenging road, connecting Wakhan Valley to the Pamir Highway. As close as you can get to Afghanistan without Visa, just other side of the river.
